A place for all transgender people and those who admire them!

There's a lot that changes in our life, but one thing that will always stay constant is that Perception is the Key. Our perception is what changes, but it's also what will keep each of us happier and healthier.

If you perceive something is wrong with you, then there will be something wrong a lot sooner than if you weren't thinking about it. A good perception is especially important living a transgendered or alternative lifestyle. We should have learned this as teenagers. If you walk around with your world crumbling then it most likely was. If you learn to truly reshape the negatives then you'll change your perception, the entire world will get brighter.

I learned this most when I entered the work-a-day world. We are all very sensitive to our management's opinions. I am too, it's hard to escape when the person who hired you and believes in you is unhappy with something you produced for them. Yet I see it taken to unnecessary extremes so often. I will hear a conversation between two people from start to finish. Then that one person will come to me and say, "Did you hear what she just said to me? Did you hear the tone in her voice! How dare she insult me and degrade me to that level!"

Meanwhile, all I heard was a civil bland exchange between two people. Either I'm a bit dense or people are far too sensitive (I'd put money on both). If someone wants to be mean to you, rude and degrading, they should have to try a lot harder than, "You know I'm not really pleased with this one piece you did."

We usually are our own worst enemy. We perceive to believe that people are insulting us and, especially living alternatively to the norm, perceiving us to be monstrous freaks of nature whom don't deserve to get ahead. If you open your eyes and stop thinking so badly of some things, you may see that there's a lot of people way too caught up in their own crap to think about yours. There's a lot of truth to that statement: If you knew how many people were thinking about you, you'd be insulted, because not many are.
